Humanitarian Service

“My brothers and sisters, we are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness – be they family members, friends, acquaintances, or strangers.  We are the Lord’s hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children.  He is dependent upon each of us."
-Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Stake Relief Society Humanitarian Leader:     Tamra Birth, 2nd Ward

Ward Humanitarian Leaders:
Each Ward Relief Society in the Salt Lake Olympus Stake has a wonderful Humanitarian leader who has many service ideas she would love to share.  Call her if you are looking for ways you can serve!  Each Ward has had and will continue to have projects and meetings planned in the coming weeks and months to serve and help our brothers and sisters.  Please participate in these ward meetings and projects!

Service Ideas:
  • On this blog we will also share service ideas and successes for families and individuals.
  • If you’re looking for ideas there are literally hundreds out there, but the following sites are a good place to start:
(There is a section on Family Volunteer Opportunities)

(There are family night shifts, and families can deliver senior food boxes, or decorate food boxes)

"Service is awesome.
It benefits both the giver and receiver.
 Isn’t the Lord efficient?!"
