Family Friendly Scary Movies

A great way to live providently is to have fun at home for free! 
Here is a fun idea for Halloween fun this weekend.

Here are some fun family friendly scary movies. Find them at the library or online to enjoy a  unfilled evening with your family.

  • Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein-(1948)- made before ratings
  • Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)- made before ratings
  • Horrors of Dracula (1958)- made before ratings
  • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1958)-rated G
  • The Mummy (1932)- made before ratings
  • Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit(2005)- rated G
  • The Wolf Man(1941)- made before ratings

Flap-o-Lanterns

This is a great fall breakfast! It is fun for Halloween morning!

2 c. flour
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 T. sugar
1 t. pumpkin pie spice
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups milk
3 T. oil or melted butter
1/2 c. pumpkin

Mix all ingredients to make batter. Cook on a hot griddle. Can be made it the shape of pumpkins, with raisins or chocolate chips for faces. Great with applesauce or Cider Syrup.
